Bringing nutritious wholegrain oats to the fore, Bonnie Oatcakes are wheat-free, dairy-free and contain no added sugar.

The hero ingredient in our oatcakes is the glorious oat. Oats are a significant source of vitamin B1, minerals (manganese, magnesium and zinc) and both soluble and insoluble fibre. Soluble fibre is known as beta-glucan, which helps to lower levels of bad cholesterol and also controls the release of sugars into the bloodstream. Oats also release energy slowly, making you feel fuller for longer.

Our oatcake recipes are wheat free but as they contain oats they’re not gluten free – all oats contain gluten in the form of avenin. Avenin is slightly different from other gluten proteins and only 1 in 5 coeliacs react from this protein.

Our Canterbury Linseed flavour contains approximately 20% linseed! Linseed (also known as flaxseed) is a great source of the essential fatty acid, omega-3. Omega-3 lowers high blood cholesterol, improves skin health and is renowned for reducing stress levels by helping to insulate nerve cells in the brain.
