Bonnie Goods is an small bakery based in central Auckland. We make oatcakes, which are all rolled, cut and baked by hand.
The journey began in 2010 while living in Edinburgh. During our time there, we were introduced to some great Scottish fare including single malt whisky and their national cracker – the glorious oatcake.
A keen baker from a young age, Morgan set out to perfect her own oatcake recipe from our little flat in Leith and on our return home in 2013, we began selling Bonnie Oatcakes beside the cheesemonger at the wonderful La Cigale French Market in Parnell. We’re now stocked in stores all around New Zealand.
Sourcing locally is important to us. We use wholegrain oats from Otago and Southland, sea salt from Marlborough, linseed from Canterbury, native West Coast kāmahi honey and locally-grown walnuts.
Bonnie Oatcakes are available in five varieties: Original, Smoked Paprika, Canterbury Linseed, Kāmahi Honey and new kid on the block, Seaweed and Walnut. For future flavours we’ll continue our aim to showcase more of the best home-grown ingredients.
